We are looking for:

We are looking for a dynamic PR Specialist to join our team, someone who can leverage their expertise to secure prominent placements for our clients in respected industry publications. You will be responsible for developing and executing PR strategies that generate high-quality content placements in reputable medical and health-related publications. Your role will involve crafting compelling stories, pitching to journalists, and managing relationships with clients and media outlets to ensure our clients' messages reach key audiences effectively.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Must have native or near-native proficiency in English, including fluency in speech, accurate grammar usage, and clear pronunciation.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, ensuring clarity and understanding in all interactions.
  • 3-5 years in public relations, preferably within the health or medical sector.
  • Proven track record of securing media placements.
  • This is a KPI-driven role requiring successful quarterly target achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive PR strategies aligned with our clients' marketing objectives and our agency’s goals.
  • Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, articles, opinion pieces, and other content that resonate with both the general public and industry-specific audiences.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in the health and medical fields. Pitch stories to secure coverage in high-profile publications.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the execution of PR campaigns from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet our high standards and client expectations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track media coverage, analyze outcomes, and provide detailed reports to clients and internal stakeholders. Use analytics to refine PR strategies continuously.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs, update them on progress, and manage expectations regarding PR outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our content writers, SEO specialists and other marketing teams to integrate PR efforts with broader digital marketing campaigns.

Work-timings:

  • Able to provide at least 6 hours of overlap with the 9 am-5 pm EST workday (Monday - Friday).

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Commerce, Journalism or a related field.
  • Masters's Degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of total experience in a similar role.
  • 1+ years of experience working in an agency is a plus.

Technological

  • You must be an excellent researcher and writer with strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Highly organized. Ability to easily manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Great at verbal and written communication in English.

Technological

  • A workspace free of distraction. This job is for someone who enjoys working from home or a coworking space vs a "digital nomad" who is often moving around, which has proven to be very distracting and inefficient.
  • A download speed of at least 30 Mbps and an upload speed of at least 10 Mbps.

Work timings

  • Able to provide at least 5 hours of overlap with the 9 am-5 pm EST workday (Monday - Friday). With 1-2 days a week to work at your own schedule.
